What we do with what you send us.
We collect the minimum needed to answer an enquiry, run a programme and understand the website only when you permit analytics.
Plain answers about your information.
Who is responsible
Isabel Baena Otero, trading as Madrid Spanish Institute, is the data controller. Business contact address: Plaza Puerta Cerrada 5, 3, Madrid, Spain. Contact for data matters: info@madridspanishinstitute.com.
What we collect
Through the enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number and organisation if supplied, and message. Through the level test: your name, email address and answers. On Campus: account and enrolment data, course progress, submitted activities and course-related messages. Standard security logs may hold technical data such as an IP address. Optional website-usage data is collected only if you accept analytics.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, administer the level test, create and manage your Campus account, process enrolment and payment, deliver the course, record progress and meet tax and consumer-law obligations. The legal basis is your consent for enquiries and the test, performance of the course contract and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and level tests that do not lead to a programme are deleted within a year. Account, enrolment and progress data is retained during the course relationship and for the time needed to address incidents or document the service. Billing and client records are kept for the periods required by Spanish tax and training regulations.
Who else sees it
Raiola Networks hosts the website and Campus. Google Workspace processes the email generated by the enquiry form and the level test; see Google’s privacy policy. Stripe and PayPal process the information needed when you choose those gateways; Madrid Spanish Institute does not receive or store full card details. Programme records may be filed with Fundae where training uses the company’s training credit. If you accept analytics, Google processes the usage data described below. We do not sell data or share it for advertising.
Booking a call
If you choose the call option, the link takes you to Cal.com, where the information needed to arrange the meeting is processed under Cal.com’s privacy policy. The calendar is not embedded in this website.
Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics is loaded only after you choose “Accept”. If accepted, it records pages visited, interactions and technical information about the browser or device, and sets analytics identifiers. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and advertising user data remain disabled. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be changed at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer. We use the minimum two-month GA4 user-data retention setting. See Google’s privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data at any time by writing to the address above, and you may complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
